FAAST XT™ meets the needs of the largest and most challenging applications. With four pipe inlets and area coverage of up to 2,000m2, FAAST XT™ uses advanced dual optical sensing and particle separation technologies to ensure the most early, accurate and reliable detection; even in the most challenging and harsh applications. 

Dual source sensing technology

FAAST XT™ uses FAAST’s unique ‘dual vision’ technology with advanced algorithms that can successfully distinguish smoke from all other particulates

  • Blue LED detects a wide variety of fires down to invisible concentrations of smoke
  • Infrared laser identifies nuisances – such as dust - eliminating potential of false alarms and downtime

Unique three-stage filtration

FAAST XT™ uses an ultrafine three stage filtration process, which increases device life cycle and maintenance intervals as well as accuracy. An aerospace-designed and patented wing filter is used as a first step filtration method, performing ultrafine filtration, which separates and eliminates particles greater than 30 microns

  • A replaceable integral harsh filter captures any large escaped particles before airflow reaches the optical chamber

  • A combination of the three filtration methods above delivers the most reliable early warning detection with no false alarms

Adapts to meet exact needs

FAAST XT™ features a user-configurable three-speed fan allowing the protection of the largest scale applications. This feature also allows smaller scale applications to leverage minimised current consumption. Four pipe inlets and cable entry holes on the top, bottom and back of FAAST XT™ assist with a installer-friendly installation that adpats to exact applications needs.

Simplified interaction

FAAST XT™ features a multilingual LCD interface providing detailed device information and interaction including Active faults, precise airflow monitoring, reset of airflow baseline and test/reset/isolate.

Acclimate mode

FAAST XT™ includes an Acclimate mode facility, which reduces nuisance alarms for devices located in changing environments. In Acclimate mode the sensitivity of the unit continuously adjusts over time, within set limits as the local environment changes.

IP connectivity

Comprehensive connectivity options enable FAAST XT™ to be monitored and managed locally or remotely in a number of ways through TCP / IP, Ethernet via Web browser or by a direct connection through the device’s on-board USB.

  • Deploys status updates to up to six individual email addresses
  • Provides additional time for mission critical facilities to investigate a situation and implement an appropriate response strategy

Modbus connectivity

FAAST XT™ is equipped with a serial Modbus interface to complement TCP / IP Modbus and Ethernet networking options and enable seamless integration with existing Building Management Systems without any additional hardware or software.
